The Town of Pittsboro has a current opening on the Advisory Planning Commission (APC). The term for this position will be serving 1/20/2026 until 12/31/28.
Eligible applicants must reside within the town limits of Pittsboro.
Per I.C. 36-7-4-207(b) we are actively seeking applicants who are registered as a Democrat or Independent. Proof of political party affiliation needs to be provided which can be a copy of last voter registration or noted party affiliation at primary election.
If there are no applicants whom meet this requirement, the position will be filled by the best qualified applicant.

About the Pittsboro APC:
The Town of Pittsboro Advisory Plan Commission is a seven-member commission who is responsible for adopting a comprehensive plan, zoning ordinances, and approving development plans. The commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. at Pittsboro Administrative Building.
